ROYAL PATH TO KNOWLEDGE OF THE SELF; taught by
the founder Sri Shyamji Bhatnagar, Master of Naada Yoga
Most of the time when we hear the word self we think of ego. However, as we work with InnerTuning over time our awareness evolves. Eventually, we realize that beyond the minds connected with the seven chakras, there is a true non-egoistic SELF. Perhaps this is what Socrates referred to when he advised Know Thyself!
The evolution of awareness is linked to the way in which we use our brain.
When the first humans appeared on the evolutionary ladder, they added more neurons to the primitive brain that they had in common with lower species.
This new tissue consisted of the right cerebral hemisphere (the main source of feeling) and the left cerebral hemisphere (the main source of thought). These hemispheres permit the civilizing of the primitive brain if we utilize their
potential for deep feeling and profound thought.
There are three channels connected to the three parts of the brain. The left channel begins in the right hemisphere, crosses to the left side of the body and
descends to the base of the spine. There, it connects to the right channel which ascends the right side of the body and crosses to the left hemisphere. Between these two channels, in the centre of the spine, lies the central channel.
The right hemisphere and the left channel provide a means to approach the SELF through the path of devotion (Bhakti). The left hemisphere and the right channel provide a means to approach the SELF through the path of knowledge (Gyan). The central channel is the way of highly selected and focused actions (authentic karma yoga)--The Royal Path.
The main ingredient that promotes the evolution of awareness (and the eventual divinization of the animal brain) is called surya akasha. This highly refined element creates tremendous expansion as well as deep feelings of peace and contentment. Shyamji ' s voice is graced with surya akasha --even a first time listener is enveloped by it.
