Hatha yoga practices systematically strengthen and harmonize the whole person. They include practicesfor the physical body (asanas, mudras), feeling body (pranayamas, kriyas, visualizations, devotions) and thought body (jnaana, mantra, meditation). These ancient techniques purify energies, harnessing them towards unity within one’s self. Disciplines are used to channel and support the human potential to experience higher states of awareness.

SPECIAL 3 HOUR CLASSES

CELEBRATE FALL EQUINOX
Taught by Alisa Rose, Director of Yoga at InnerTuning®

An equinox occurs twice a year, when the tilt of the Earth's axis is inclined neither away from nor towards the Sun, the Sun being vertically above a point on the Equator.

The Fall Equinox is celebrated as the final harvest of the season. This holiday was pivotal in ancient times, since a good final harvest was crucial to surviving the winter months ahead. This is the time of year where we truly reap what we have sown and now prepare for the long winter that lays before us. The day and night are again equal in time. Celebrants gather to mark the turning of the wheel.

In this 3 hour workshop we will evaluate our harvest and alignment to the principle of Sri. Sri is shakti the female coded potency of life. She holds the qualities of beneficence, abundance and sacred values. The asana practice will focus on inversions. Pranayamas which direct the senses internally will be incorporated. Affirmation of dedication to the sadhana (spiritual discipline) of Sri will be reinforced.
